The medium high voltage slip ring motor is a highly efficient rotating motor, which is widely used in mechanical equipment with high requirements for rotation torque. When the motor is working, the stator generates a rotating magnetic field, and the rotor coil begins to rotate under the action of electromagnetic induction force. The brush changes the contact point accordingly, so that the current continuously passes through the rotor coil, driving the motor to run continuously.

High Starting Torque
The starting torque of the medium high voltage slip ring motor can reach 2.5 - 3.5 times the rated torque, meeting the high starting torque requirements of large fans, compressors and other equipment.
Good Protection Performance
The protection level of the medium high voltage slip ring motor is IP55 and above, which can effectively block dust and water vapor.
Good Heat Dissipation Performance
The medium high voltage slip ring motor shell is equipped with large-area heat dissipation ribs and a built-in cooling fan. After the optimized design, the winding temperature can be controlled below 130℃ during continuous operation, ensuring long-term stable operation of the motor and avoiding overheating damage.
To prevent dust and dirt from penetrating the interior of the motor, MST motors in cooling classes IC 611, IC 616 and IC 666 are equipped with a closed cooling system, i.e. an air-to-air heat exchanger. Since the air-to-air heat exchanger and the motor housing are separated, these slip ring motors are particularly simple to install and maintain. The construction also provides a maintenance window for the slip rings. The internal slip ring cavity allows the bearings to be replaced without disassembling the slip rings.
Motor Design
MST's medium high voltage slip ring motors can be delivered in IM B3 and IM v1 construction types according to IEC 60034-7.
The medium high voltage slip ring motor has a welded steel housing with an integrated foot plate.
Depending on customer requirements, the motor can be equipped with a "right" or "left" terminal box.
Protection Class And Insulation
MST's medium high voltage slip ring motor is rated IP 55.
As for insulation, the moisture-proof motor windings are designed with a thermal rating of "F" and are produced using the VPI (vacuum pressure impregnation) method.
Motor accessories
The medium high voltage slip ring motor from MST is usually designed with temperature monitoring of the windings and bearings as well as mechanical SPM measuring taps for recording vibration values:
6 Pt100 resistance thermometers (RTDS) in the stator winding
2 Pt100 resistance thermometers (RTDS) in the bearing housing
The terminals of the two SPM measuring taps resistance thermometers are located in separate terminal boxes.
Heater (230 V/1~), including separate terminal box.
