1.Flameproof Enclosure Design
The 40HP explosion-proof motor features a cast iron casing that complies with the explosion-proof structure stipulated in China's GB3836.2 standard, and it possesses two core characteristics.
1.1Explosion resistance: The housing can withstand the maximum pressure generated during the explosion of the internal flammable gas mixture (typically ≥ 0.8 MPa), preventing the housing from rupturing and causing the explosion to spread.
1.2 Flameproof gap: The mating surfaces of the enclosure are designed with a precise gap (typically 0.15 - 0.3mm) to ensure that an internal explosion does not pass through the flameproof joint and cause an explosion in the external environment.
2.Internal Component Explosion-proof Optimization
2.1 Winding Protection: The stator winding uses insulation materials with a temperature rating of ≥ F class (155℃), and is treated with vacuum impregnation to prevent insulation damage that could cause electric sparks; at the same time, a stator winding temperature sensor can be placed to trigger an alarm when the winding temperature exceeds the threshold.
2.2 Wiring System: The wiring box is equipped with an explosion-proof sealing gasket, and the cable entry point can adopt explosion-proof flange head, trumpet-shaped, or threaded type, to prevent external flammable gases from entering the wiring box and avoiding poor contact that causes arcs.
3.Temperature Compatibility
A 40HP explosion proof induction motor is classified into different temperature groups (T1-T6) based on the ignition temperature of the flammable media in the operating environment. T4 (maximum surface temperature ≤135°C) and T5 (≤100°C) are the most commonly used models, compatible with most industrial flammable gases such as methane, propane, and ethanol, ensuring that the motor surface temperature remains below the ignition threshold during operation.
