Technical Features
High reliability and long service life
In order to meet the 1.5MPa water pressure requirement of the new standard GB 3836-2010 for the motor housing, advanced design software ANSYS was used to model and analyze the machine base and end cover. The machine base is made of high-strength gray cast iron, and the end cover is made of high-strength gray cast iron or steel plate reinforced with ribs.
To extend the service life of the electric motor, advanced aerodynamic design is adopted for the motor base, fan and other components, and an innovative dual circuit cooling concept is adopted to ensure uniform temperature distribution inside the motor. The gray cast iron base and end cover, as well as high-quality corrosion-resistant protection and surface painting, can protect the motor from long-term climate effects and effectively extend the service life of the motor.
Compact structure
All users hope that their transmission system can operate reliably and not waste valuable installation space. By working hard to reduce the installation space of the motor, we focus on achieving smaller size, higher performance, and reliability of the motor, and have achieved success. The high-voltage explosion-proof three-phase asynchronous motor perfectly meets these requirements.
Low vibration
The High Voltage Explosion Proof Motors features a comprehensive rotor dynamics design, innovative production processes, and high-precision dynamic balancing, ensuring lower vibration levels for the motor. YB2 and YBX2 series high-voltage explosion-proof three-phase asynchronous motors not only meet the vibration requirements of GB10068 standard, but also exceed the standard requirements in most situations.
Low noise
Lower noise and optimized air duct design cannot be achieved without the selection of the correct fan type. Due to the lower air resistance of the IC411 cooling method's motor's external air duct, the airflow between the heat dissipation ribs on the machine base mainly flows along the axial direction. Therefore, designing the fan and fan cover in the best streamlined shape not only improves fan efficiency, but also greatly reduces fan noise.
The internal fan is cast from aluminum alloy ZL101 and can rotate in both directions. All 2-pole motor external fans are axial fans, suitable for only one direction of rotation. The external fan of motors with 4 or more poles adopts a bowl type centrifugal fan, which is welded from steel plates and can rotate in both directions.
The high-strength structure of the base and end cover, as well as the optimized selection of the stator and rotor slots, also result in lower noise levels for the electric motor.
Stator
The stator of the High Voltage Explosion Proof Motors adopts an external pressure structure. The stator winding is made of F-class insulation material, and the coil end is reliably fixed and tied. During the manufacturing process, it has undergone multiple turn to turn pulse voltage tests and ground withstand voltage tests, and is treated with vacuum pressure impregnation solvent-free VPI technology. Therefore, the insulation system of the motor has high electrical strength, mechanical strength, good corrosion resistance, and moisture resistance. Special anti corona treatment is applied to the coil, iron core, and machine base to ensure that the motor meets the requirements for high-altitude use.
Rotor
This series of motors adopts two structures: squirrel cage cast aluminum and copper bar rotor. The cast aluminum rotor conductor and short-circuit ring are cast as a whole, ensuring a tight fit between the cast aluminum cage and the rotor punch without looseness, ensuring the safety and reliability of the motor operation. The copper bar rotor cage and end ring are welded with medium frequency welding, ensuring good quality and reliable operation. Perform dynamic balancing treatment on the rotor to reduce vibration and ensure smooth operation.
Bearing
This series of motors H500-2-6kV and H560-2 use end cap spherical sliding bearings with forced lubrication, while other motors use rolling bearings. Equipped with non-stop oil injection and discharge devices, it can add lubricating grease during operation and also remove waste grease during operation. The nameplate data of the electric motor includes data such as refueling time and bearing model. According to calculations, the theoretical lifespan of bearings is all over 100000 hours.
Junction box
The High Voltage Explosion Proof Motors design has four junction boxes for the motor, namely the main power junction box, the auxiliary junction box, and two bearing temperature measurement junction boxes. According to user requirements, the main power junction box can be installed in four different positions on the ventilation slot of the machine base to meet different wiring needs on site. The main power junction box of a standard electric motor is installed on the upper right side of the transmission end machine base (facing the motor shaft extension end), with a bottom incoming wire. The auxiliary junction box is installed at the bottom of the non transmission end machine base in the upper right corner (facing the motor shaft extension end) for incoming wires. Two bearing temperature measurement junction boxes are installed at the bottom of the upper left corner (facing the motor shaft extension end) of the drive end and non drive end machine bases for incoming wires.
There are three M16 terminal blocks installed inside the main power junction box. There is a grounding terminal installed inside and outside the main power junction box. Rubber sealing devices and cable stripping prevention devices are installed at the wiring ports. The sealing ring at the wiring port has a diameter of 5 concentric circles, including φ 64, φ 57, φ 51, φ 46, and φ 40, which meet the requirements of users for multi specification cable entry.

The auxiliary junction box is mainly used for stator winding temperature measurement and heater wiring. There is a grounding terminal installed inside the auxiliary junction box. A rubber sealing device is installed at the wiring port, and the diameter of the sealing ring at the wiring port includes 4 concentric circles of diameter 20, 16, 12, and 8, and 2 concentric circles of diameter 7 and 5, which meet the requirements of users for multi specification cable entry.
The bearing temperature measurement junction box is used for connecting the bearing temperature measurement device, and a rubber sealing device is installed at the connection port.
Monitoring and protection
The High Voltage Explosion Proof Motors provides the following monitoring and protection devices:
The stator temperature measuring element adopts a platinum thermistor Pt100 three wire system, with a total of six components, of which three are working and three are spare;
The bearing temperature measuring element adopts a platinum thermistor Pt100 three wire system, with a total of two pieces;
Anti condensation space heating system, with a power supply voltage of AC 220V;
The stator temperature measuring element and heater leads are both connected to the wiring terminals inside the auxiliary junction box, and the bearing temperature measuring element leads are connected to the wiring terminals inside the bearing temperature measuring junction box.
